VT SERIES – Solar Lighting Towers
No engine. No fuel. No noise.
The VT-Solar Hyper lighting tower runs entirely on solar and battery power. Three 400 Wp panels charge an 11.5 kWh AGM pack, which drives four 100 Watt Hyper LED floodlights for 60,000 lumens across 2,800 m² at one lux. There is no engine, so there is nothing to refuel, nothing to service and nothing to hear.
Light power adjusts from 25 to 100 percent, and that is what sets the run time. At full output the battery gives around 20 hours. Dimmed to 25 percent it gives up to 50 hours, still putting out 15,000 lumens over 1,200 m². Recharging from the mains takes 8 hours, and in good sun the panels alone can keep the tower running indefinitely.
The three panels sit on sliding guides and tilt manually to 45 degrees on gas springs with a graduated scale, so they can be set to the sun angle for the site and the season. An anti-theft lock secures them. A 16A CEE inlet lets you charge from the mains or a generator when there has not been enough sun, and a multipin inlet is fitted as well.
The telescopic mast lifts hydraulically to 8.2 metres and rotates through 340 degrees. The manual control panel carries battery monitoring, a low voltage alarm, an hour counter, inverter alarm, individual circuit breakers for mains, lamps and solar, and a selector for manual, timer or darkness sensor operation. Digital timer, darkness sensor and advanced digital controller are options.
The unit sits on a road trailer with an amortised single axle, has four independent stabilisers and forklift pockets, and the aluminium case and 50,000 hour LED life keep maintenance to a minimum. Suited to construction, civil works, events, car parks, remote compounds and any site with noise limits or emissions restrictions.

Battery running time depends on the light power setting. Solar performance varies with location, panel orientation, shadows, surface condition of the panels and weather.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can it run indefinitely on solar alone?
In the right conditions yes. Whether the panels produce more than the lamps consume depends on your latitude, the panel orientation, the season, shading and how hard you run the lights. Dimmed output and shorter nightly hours make it far more likely. Tell us the site and the hours you need lit and we will give you a realistic assessment.
What happens after a run of overcast days?
A 16A CEE inlet plug is fitted so the battery can be charged from the mains or from a generator. A full recharge through the power grid takes 8 hours.
How does it compare to the LP Solar Street Light?
The VT-Solar Hyper is the larger machine: 60,000 lumens over 2,800 m² from an 11.5 kWh battery, on a road trailer with a hydraulic 8.2 metre mast. The LP Solar Street Light gives 12,000 lumens over 950 m² from a compact manual-mast unit built for footpaths, car parks and walkways.
