Pramac GPW Series mobile diesel generator

Built to be moved

Designed for mobile applications

Pramac drew on decades of supplying rental and mobile fleets to design a canopy that survives constant handling, keeps the weather and dust out, and is quick to service on site.

GPW single roof lifting point and lifting bridge

Single-point lifting bridge

A robust metal bridge tied into the base frame lets the whole set be craned from one roof lifting point – built for frequent moves between sites.

GSB galvanised skid base with forklift pockets

Forklift & pallet-truck ready

Screwed feet give the clearance for pallet trucks and forklifts; add the galvanised skid base (GSB) with fork pockets to drag and protect the set on rough ground.

GPW zinc-plated metal air inlet grid

Metal air-inlet grid

Zinc-plated punched-metal inlets with an internal intake duct cut noise, keep heavy rain out and lift the enclosure’s IP rating.

Three large service doors

Reinforced, key-lockable doors on a zinc-plated modular canopy give unrestricted access for servicing – and keep unauthorised hands out.

GPW engine bay with separate control and power panels

Separate control & power panels

Two metal cabinets – one for control, one for power – give complete segregation for operator safety, fit every breaker size the world’s voltages need, and sit protected behind the canopy door.

GPW sockets panel on the front of the canopy

Plug-and-play sockets panel

An independent sockets panel on the front of the canopy means any socket kit or Power Lock outlet can be specified without touching the control or power sections.

11 options

PHS engine pre-heating system
PHS

Pre-Heating System

A heater that keeps the engine coolant circuit warm while the generator is on standby. It guarantees a fast, reliable start, which is especially important when the ambient temperature drops below 3°C or when the set must pick up load immediately in a standby (AMF) application.

  • Immersion or external heater depending on engine model
  • Heater rating from 200W (small Yanmar) up to 1500W (external type on larger engines)

Not combinable with the EAG analogue engine gauges on Perkins 400 and Yanmar 4TNV88 series engines.

All canopy sizes

ASV

Air Shut-Off Valve

An air shut-off valve fitted to the engine air intake that automatically stops the generator if the engine starts to overrun in an atmosphere rich in hydrocarbons. It is the most effective protection against a diesel runaway: the valve completely blocks the intake, cutting off the uncontrolled external fuel source and the air needed to keep the engine running. Typically specified for oil and gas, petrochemical and mining sites.

  • Chalwyn SVX300 / SVX501 (non-hazardous area type) on most models
  • Emergency overspeed shutdown protection

Valve model for some small Perkins/Yanmar engines still to be defined by the factory.

All canopy sizes

EEG

Electronic Engine Governor

Upgrades an engine that comes with a mechanical governor to an electronic governor. The electronic governor gives far more accurate engine speed (and therefore frequency) control from no load right through to full load, delivering better engine performance and cleaner power for sensitive loads.

  • Only for gensets fitted with a mechanical governor as standard

Already included with the MPP parallel panel. Not available on every engine model – check the engine table for your size.

HDF heavy-duty two-stage air filter
HDF

Heavy-Duty Air Filter

A larger, two-stage air cleaner with a built-in high-efficiency pre-cleaner in place of the standard filter. It allows the generator to work in dusty environments and lengthens the maintenance interval. Designed for on- and off-road equipment operating in medium to heavy dust, and easily serviced thanks to the clamp-on cover.

  • Donaldson two-stage air cleaner (e.g. D080069, D090073, D10039x depending on engine)
  • Built-in high-efficiency pre-cleaner
  • Clamp-on cover for quick servicing

Filter model for some of the smallest Perkins/Yanmar engines still to be defined by the factory.

WSP Racor water separator fuel filter
WSP

Water Separator Filter (Racor)

A Racor water-separating fuel filter that removes water and dirt from the fuel before it reaches the engine. Ideal where fuel quality cannot be guaranteed, it protects the engine’s precision components from dirt, rust, algae, asphaltenes, varnishes and especially water. It works in three stages: centrifugal separation of large solids and free water, coalescing of smaller droplets into the collection bowl, then filtration through Racor’s Aquabloc water-repelling media for near 100% water separation.

  • Parker Racor 500FG10 (900FV10 on some larger FPT engines)
  • 10 micron
  • Replacement elements in other micron ratings available as parts

Not combinable with WSP2.

All canopy sizes

WSP2 Mann+Hummel Preline water separator
WSP2

Water Separator Filter 2 (Mann Hummel)

An alternative water-separating fuel filter from Mann Hummel that filters water and dirt from the fuel before it enters the engine – particularly useful where fuel quality is poor. A manual priming pump is included.

  • Mann Hummel Preline 100/2, 4 micron (Preline 270, 6 micron on B20 and above)
  • Up to 100 l/h flow
  • 93% water separation
  • For diesel to DIN ISO 590 (5% FAME) / DIN 51 628 (7% FAME)
  • Manual pump included

Not combinable with WSP.

CDP

Coolant Draining Pipe

A drain pipe with a valve on the end connected to the radiator, so the coolant can be drained quickly and cleanly at service time without spilling into the base frame.

Canopy versions only. Not available for Scania DC13 engines.

All canopy sizes

LCL

Low Coolant Level

A low coolant level sensor that raises an engine alarm on the control panel when the coolant drops below a safe level, helping prevent overheating, engine damage and costly downtime.

For FPT, Baudouin and Perkins engines. Not for Yanmar; already included on Volvo and Scania engines.
