Description
Battery Storage Outdoor (BSO MAX PRO 90/188) is Pramac’s new-generation commercial and industrial battery storage system, delivered fully pre-installed and tested in a single IP54 outdoor cabinet. Inside are 12 prismatic LFP battery modules (188 kWh) with battery management system, a 90 kVA PBI 90K power conversion system, AC switchboard with EMS, a 1 kVA AC UPS, two redundant air-conditioning units and a complete fire safety system – commissioning is quick and can be done by one person.
The PRO version adds backup power. On grid it delivers 90 kVA for peak shaving, time-of-use shifting, smart self-consumption, multi-use, load management for EV charging and PV feed-in limitation. When the grid fails it forms its own supply and provides 75 kVA of backup with 120% overload (with the Pramac Smart Transfer Switch, ZG311T00000). That suits commercial and industrial buildings, buffer storage for EV fast charging, agricultural and PV sites, and microgrids or remote sites where it runs alongside a Pramac diesel generator to cut fuel, run hours and noise.
Why BSO MAX: around 107 kWh per m² of floor space, a gentle 0.5C battery design (12 x 15.68 kWh modules, 179 kWh usable at 95% DoD) for longer life with no derating after back-to-back full cycles, and side-by-side installation with only 250 mm between cabinets for modular expansion – or grow capacity in place with the optional Extension Kit 188. Crane eyes and forklift pockets make placement straightforward, standby consumption is just 58 W, and maintenance is needed at most once a year.
Fire safety built in. The BMS permanently monitors cell voltage and temperature and shuts the system down before a fault can develop. Smoke and heat sensors raise an alarm, and an independent temperature sensor triggers a non-pressurised aerosol extinguishing generator (FirePro FP200-S, ISO 15779 / EN 15276 certified) to suppress flames and stop any spread. A Storz 52-C water pipe connector lets the fire brigade flood the battery compartment for long-term cooling. Batteries, modules and BMS are qualified to IEC 62619, UL 9540A (module and rack level) and VDE-AR-E 2510-50.
