Description
GLT SERIES – Lighting Towers
Low voltage. Longer hours. More light.
The GLT6-A DC lighting tower runs six 57,600 lumen low voltage floodlights from a 48V DC alternator, giving a total output of 345,600 lumens at 180 Lm/W. Running the lamps on low voltage DC rather than mains voltage is what lifts the output well above the standard GLT6-A while cutting the load on the engine.
A two cylinder Kubota Z482 runs at 1500 RPM and returns up to 200 hours from the 200 litre tank, so the unit can be left on site across a long roster without refuelling. Average sound pressure is 60 dB(A) at 7 metres.
The mast lifts electrically and rotates through 340 degrees, and the floodlights tilt electrically from ground level, so the lamps can be aimed without climbing or hand cranking. Compact seagull wing doors open the full width of the canopy for service access, and the plastic fuel tank has integrated liquid containment. Control is through a DSE L401-MKII digital controller.
Suited to construction, infrastructure, mining support, events and rental fleets where long unattended run time and high light output matter more than onboard mains power sockets.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the GLT6-A DC and the GLT6-A?
The GLT6-A DC runs its floodlights from a 2.4 kVA 48V DC alternator and produces 345,600 lumens with up to 200 hours of run time. The standard GLT6-A runs an 8 kVA 230/240V alternator, produces 276,000 lumens, runs up to 140 hours and includes two 16A outlet sockets for powering site equipment. Choose the DC unit for light output and run time, and the standard unit if you also need mains power on site.
