GLT SERIES – Lighting Towers

The GLT4-A Hybrid Solar lighting tower combines a diesel engine, a 5.7 kWh AGM battery pack and two 200 Wp photovoltaic panels in one compact frame. Four 240 Watt LED floodlights give 144,000 lumens over 7,500 m² at full output, and the dimmer lets you trade light for run time in four steps.
Running on battery the unit is silent at 0 dB(A), with the engine only starting when the batteries need charging. That keeps engine hours, fuel burn, servicing and emissions down, and makes the unit suitable for night works near housing where a conventional tower would be too loud.
The panels tilt electrically between 0 and 35 degrees to suit the sun angle, and a darkness sensor and digital timer will run the lights to a schedule without anyone attending the machine. Control is through a DSE 4520-MKII digital controller, with a 16A single phase inlet plug for running from an external supply when one is available.
The mast rotates through 340 degrees, the plastic fuel tank has integrated liquid containment, and the road trailer has a long foldable drawbar. Ten units fit on a truck, which matters for rental fleets moving numbers of them at once.

Will it really run for 700 hours without refuelling?
700 hours is the manufacturer figure with the lamps dimmed to 25 percent and the solar panels correctly oriented, and it will vary with your latitude, the panel orientation and the weather. At full 144,000 lumen output the engine runs more often and the interval between refuelling is considerably shorter. Tell us the site and the hours you need lit and we can give you a realistic figure.
How does the GLT4-A Hybrid Solar differ from the GLT4 DC Hyper?
The Hybrid Solar adds a 5.7 kWh AGM battery and two 200 Wp solar panels, so it can run silently on battery and start the engine only to recharge. The GLT4 DC Hyper is diesel only, with a 48V DC alternator and four 45,000 lumen Hyper LED floodlights giving 180,000 lumens. Choose the Hybrid Solar where noise, fuel burn and emissions matter, and the DC Hyper where you need the most light.
