The GRW565V diesel generator delivers 558.7 kVA / 447 kW emergency standby and 500 kVA / 400 kW prime power from a Volvo TAD1651GE, a six cylinder, 16.12 litre, turbocharged, water-cooled Stage IIIA engine running at 1500 RPM with electronic governor. Output is delivered through a brushless Leroy Somer LSA 47.2 M7 alternator at 400/230 V, 50 Hz, three phase, 0.8 power factor, with class H insulation, IP23 protection, 12 winding leads and electronic voltage regulation held inside 0.5%. Nominal current is 722 A and maximum current 807 A. The set is switchable to 60 Hz for 1800 RPM operation.

The canopy is built from modular panels of zinced metal sheet tested to more than 1000 hours of salt spray, with gasketed access doors and lockable handles on each side, washable fireproof soundproofing and an integrated residential exhaust silencer with rain flap, giving 72 dB(A) at 7 metres and a guaranteed sound power level of 102 dB(A). The heavy-duty powder coated base frame is fully bunded to retain 110% of the set fluids and carries integrated fork pockets, a pull bar and a single lifting point with rung and handle on both sides. The unit measures 4630 x 1600 x 2465 mm and weighs 5817 kg.

The integrated 1500 litre metal fuel tank runs 18.79 hours at 75% prime power and 14.65 hours at full load, with a refilling point on each side and a six way fuel valve for connection to an external tank. The ACP automatic control panel carries the AMF function, full genset monitoring and protection, a detailed event log with time and date, emergency push button, analogue fuel level meter and mechanical hour counter, differential protection with internal switch, battery charger, two wire remote start/stop and a four pole modular circuit breaker behind a door safety switch. An MPP modular parallel panel with 7 inch TFT display and motorised MCCB is available for running up to 32 sets in parallel.
