The GDW335V diesel generator delivers 330 kVA / 264 kW emergency standby and 300 kVA / 240 kW prime power from a Volvo TAD842GE, a turbocharged six cylinder, 7.7 litre, water-cooled Stage II engine running at 1500 RPM with electronic governor. Output is delivered through a brushless Mecc Alte ECO38 1L4 C alternator in series star at 400/230 V, 50 Hz, three phase, 0.8 power factor, with class H insulation, IP23 protection, 93.7% efficiency at full load and voltage regulation held inside 1%. Nominal current is 433 A behind a 630 A circuit breaker.

The canopy version is a weatherproof galvanised sheet metal enclosure with residential silencer and high quality soundproofing, giving 68 dB(A) at 7 metres and a guaranteed sound power level of 97 dB(A). Large lockable lateral doors open the unit up for service, and the welded steel baseframe carries anti-vibration mountings, screwed support legs and a crane lifting hole. The canopy measures 3950 x 1200 x 2050 mm and weighs 2958 kg. An extra silent enclosure is available at 64 dB(A) at 7 metres.
