The GSW22P single phase diesel generator delivers 17.6 kVA / 17.6 kW standby and 16 kVA / 16 kW prime power from a Perkins 404A-22G1, a four cylinder, 2.2 litre, naturally aspirated, water-cooled engine with mechanical governor and 12 V electric start. Output is delivered through a brushless Leroy Somer LSA40 M5 alternator at 230 V, 50 Hz, single phase, unity power factor, with class H insulation, IP23 protection, AREP excitation, R221 electronic voltage regulation held inside 2% and 88.2% efficiency at 75% load. Maximum current is 76.52 A behind a 75 A circuit breaker.

The soundproof canopy is built from modular zinced steel panels with rock wool soundproofing, fully weatherproof, with an efficient residential silencer, wide lateral access doors on stainless steel hinges with lockable plastic handles, a control panel door with window, a laterally protected air inlet, roof exhaust outlet with protective grid and a single detachable lifting eye. The welded steel baseframe carries properly sized anti-vibration mountings and welded support legs. Noise is 66 dB(A) at 7 metres with a guaranteed sound power level of 95 dB(A). The unit measures 1800 x 850 x 1380 mm and weighs 780 kg dry.

The 130 litre plastic fuel tank with filler neck, air breather and minimum level sensor runs 36.31 hours at 75% prime power and 27.54 hours at full load. The MCP manual control panel carries a single phase voltmeter and ammeter, hours counter, key start/stop selector with glow plug preheating, an emergency stop button on the canopy side and alarm and shutdown protection for low fuel level, battery charger failure, low oil pressure, high engine temperature and earth fault. The ACP automatic control panel adds digital metering, four operating modes, remote start, an automatic battery charger and an RS232 port. An extended 210 litre fuel tank supplement is available, taking the unit to 1805 x 996 x 1597 mm.

Can the GSW be used for automatic standby?

Yes. With the ACP automatic control panel and the optional LTS load transfer switch the set will start on mains failure, take the load and shut down again when the mains returns.

Is an automatic transfer switch (ATS) included?
